A sketchy painting mess

So I decided to put together something today. Since I'm horrible at coming up with things from imagination, maybe this is a good start. Below is the sketch that inspired the painting which turned out a lot different with advice from my 3 year old :)

Halloween Cat

A portrait of my cat Dominic who is really all black with red highlights, in celebration of Halloween coming up-trick or treat time with the kids!

I spent way too much time on this one, and had a busy day at home answering calls for my 2nd job-which I put in my two week notice for. It's just not worth the stress and I'd rather spend the time with my kids and art and friends & family of course :)

I've been staying up past midnight lately so I could put in some time towards my art. It seems after a long hectic day at work, then family and dishes and laundry...there's not much time left. It didn't help that I messed with the printer all last night-took me a while to realize my pictures were printing out muddy looking because I didn't align the new color cartridge! Today my husband and I browsed through pictures from a Disneyland trip a few years ago-can't wait to go back!

My Favorite Shoe

I have not yet done any Everyday Matters challenge, so I figured I should start...A sketch of my favorite shoe for "1 - Draw a shoe"



I had a wonderful weekend and Sunday my husband and I watched some American football, watched movies, ate junk food, and got sucked into watching the whole length of Interview With A Vampire. He wanted a happy "fluffy bunny" movie afterward, I agreed.

Pomegranates

Somehow the week has slipped by and it's the weekend already. Weds I worked and got pomegranates from my mother-in-law, Thursday I cleaned the house a little, Friday I had lunch with my girlfriend, and visited my dad. Today after cleaning the bedroom with my husband and homemade pizza for dinner, Ellie and I shared some fruit for dessert :)
